Leopard print is back! Have you heard?

To be fair it never really left! Scrolling through my Instagram feed recently, I’ve stumbled upon leopard print fitted ensembles which had me wanting to include the animal print to my growing wishlist.

I’ve long been a fan of animal prints and I remember about 5 years ago I was desperate to own a leopard print winter coat and I really went back and forth as to whether I should get one.

There was this particular one by Zara that I saw at the time that I was absolutely in love with but decided against it as I knew I wouldn’t wear it often (my style choices have since changed and I’d like to think I’d be able to pull it off today?)

I personally think you can’t go wrong with adding a little animal print to your wardrobe. Be it in the form of pants, a sweater or even a pair of boots. It instantly adds that ‘je ne sais quoi’ element to any outfit.

So I’m bringing back my once love for leopard print and turning it on its head with this explosion of colour and print.

Todays series features this pair of Leopard print jeans by Balzac Paris. I was looking for a pair that would suit all body types and would be able to be worn in a variety of ways.

If you want to score yourself a pair, you’d better hop to it because in the few days it took me to put this post together, stocks are already running low so run don’t walk!

Now I’m all about mixing prints and the more the merrier. I wanted to experiment and see how many prints and patterns I could put together without it being too much (can it ever be too much though?) and have come up with the perfect balance.

Without further ado, let’s get into ‘How I’d style Leopard print jeans!

Look one is a cacophony of colours and textures featuring a beautiful velvet blazer which I would very much like in my own wardrobe. I’d wear this look to lunch with friends after a morning at the museum.

Look No.2 is giving bad ass rock chick who knows what she wants and goes for it! I decided to throw together a mix and match of colours, textures and materials which elevate the look perfect for a concert or night out on the town. The shag coat is being swiftly added to my Wishlist because how glorious does it look? Along with those Minelli boots!

Look No. 3 has a lot of layers & may look like a lot but hear me out! We’re starting off with the navy blue turtleneck tucked into the jeans, followed by the floral shirt (untucked) and lastly adding the sleeveless orange sweater. It’s giving layering 101 and major cozy vibes. I’ve mentioned this Sezane Romie Python bag before and it will be forever a firm favourite in my book.

Still heavy on the layering here (because winter!) but I also added an open toe styling situation for a night out on the town as this look screams take me out to a bar or club so I can dance the night away…heels and all. These Proenza Schouler mules are the most gorgeous mules I have ever laid eyes on and they might even get me to start wearing heels again. The green clutch adds a much needed pop of colour coupled with the sequinned jacket for that extra flair.

I started putting together this look and had only gotten to the jeans, sweater and coat and was stuck! I knew something was missing so included the striped shirt underneath the sweater for added print and threw on the much loved sock and clog moment for a laid back coffee run followed by people watching on a park bench.

Lastly, you know I could not not include my favourite pair of Dr Marten loafers (which will one day be mine mark my words!) to this list. This bag by the Kooples has also been a forever favourite and added it to the ensemble to smarten it up a bit (would have loved for it to have gold accents instead but this will do!) The touch of red paired with the leopard print is a match made in heaven so this simple H&M sweater is a win!

And there you have it folks! My version of how I’d style leopard print jeans. The good thing about the options I’ve put together is you can add or remove as many elements as you’d like and you’d still have a pretty solid look. We love providing multiple options over here but if you’re like me, let’s stick to our ‘more is more’ motto & wear the whole bunch!
