Let’s go shopping: Spring Jacket edition

Spring has sprung! Flowers are blossoming, the birds are singing, and we can finally pull out our lighter coats & jackets to welcome the warmer weather!

I’ve been shopping my own closet and found some jackets I’ve owned for a while that work perfectly for this season.

I did recently buy a jacket I have been eyeing for a while from Zara. You can see it here. I first saw it in January if I’m not mistaken, and was hesitant to get it (because I wasn’t sure about the length and overall look on me) but I decided to take the plunge anyway a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier! It hits all the right boxes in terms of perfect spring jacket for me; it’s the perfect length, not too heavy and the oversize cut is a win in my book. It’s a great transitional piece and I can’t wait to style it differently.

I’m still on the hunt for my Holy Grail of a Spring jacket. I’m thinking a short oversized trench coat type of situation? But in the meantime, here are some I found that are pretty close to being perfect.

Side note: I’ve added an oversized jean jacket here and I believe you can never go wrong with a jean jacket, cropped or oversized. They are a perfect addition to your wardrobe and work year round, on their own or layered over or under any item.
